Who We Are

Revolve is a residential development company whose sole focus is providing authentic homes in highly desirable infill locations. Basically, we believe it’s not too much to ask to make building a home an easy process, and at a reasonable price. It’s not easy building a home, but we take as much of the stress out as possible by providing a simplified purchasing process that puts the buyer in control of the feel of their home by choosing from the pre-selected designer finishes with easy choices which can be delivered quickly and efficiently.

Tim McCollum – Principal

Real estate is in Tim’s blood. As a child, his grandfather would give him advice about how to invest in real estate. He remembers going to the mountains and watching his grandfather grade a mountain for a new subdivision (his “retirement project”). Going into real estate was a natural thing to do after graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business.

As a young real estate agent, Tim began his career selling real estate in Uptown Charlotte where he cut his teeth in residential real estate for 9 years. In 2010, Tim completed his Masters degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University in their Executive Program while he continued to work throughout the two-year program. The primary focus of the program was to build more strategic business and critical thinking skills, which he planned on applying to his real estate career and eventually his development company.

His experience in real estate has ranged from commercial buildings to condos and houses to investment properties and even apartment communities. Tim has toured many thousands of new and old homes and has seen both the best and the worst in the city has to offer. He looks to bring his experience and knowledge to each of Revolve’s projects so that they fall into the “Best” category.

You’ll see Tim riding his bike around quite a bit. That’s because he races competitively on the road as a Cat-1 & when he’s not wrecking, he’s riding on the mountain bike too. On his best days he claims to be a “Semi-Amateur” – all the other days he just enjoys riding his bike.
